Title: Graduate Research Assistant

Location: Buffalo, NY

Salary: $12.00/hour

FTE: Working up to 20 hours a week

Summary of position:

The graduate student will provide research support for 4-8 Collaborative Research Initiative projects.

Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with members of project teams on study design, generation of data collection surveys, dissemination and collection of surveys, data analysis, and creation of final project reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Training, education, or experience in conducting research studies and analyzing results
  • Proficient with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical software
  • Successful prior experience working as part of a team

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be a full time SUNY student working toward a graduate degree in Social Sciences, Social Services, Education, or Applied Math

Job Related Physical Requirements:

  • None

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to meetings primarily on the Buffalo State Campus as well as occasional meetings at the Buffalo Center for Social Research on the UB South Campus or other nearby project sites.
